Medusa's Spell is a filmic dark-ambient-pop project of Mara Lasi and Daniele Serra, known from the parallel project Chirleison (amongst others) who released a highly praised, long deleted and much demanded CD on Fossil Dungeon in 2004.
The album was recorded and engineered by the legendary Simon Balestrazzi (TAC, Kirlian Camera) at the Neurohabitat studio. First 2000 copies comes as digipak with 8 pages booklet! Most songtexts on this album were written by one of these young men who died from hunger. He wrote these poems on toilet- and cigarette-paper with the refill of a biro-pen, hidden inside his body in the years before he died. He has also composed music for dance companies like Ndt2 in the Netherlands. IN France, he wrote a pre-thesis about industrial music for the university of Lyon (1993).
